I am from western, North Carolina. I attended undergrad at NC State University. Afterwards, I moved to New York City to study at Columbia University School of Social Work.

In grad school I worked in the Bronx, NY as a school counselor and implemented restorative justice practices in schools.

Professionally, I have held roles as a school social worker, psychotherapist, and clinician at a children and family-centered mental health clinic. In 2019, I founded Transforward Care to expand access to gender-affirming mental health services and trauma-informed care.

I am experienced in EMDR therapy, embodiment techniques and trauma-informed practices. I am an EMDRIA approved consultant and love to provide a creative space for others to learn. I have taught and presented in spaces such as Yale University Psychiatry Department as a clinical instructor, non-profit organizations, schools, and in legal entities. I typically center my engagements on gender diversity, integration, embodiment, trauma-informed care, trans experiences and healing

My personal and professional journey has deepened my understanding of gender's connection to inner-self development, wellness, and collective consciousness. Nowadays, I love nothing more than supporting others on their healing journey and collaborating with individuals in pursuit of creating a healthier “us”!
