"DYSPHORIA" TRAUMA

Trauma makes it difficult to answer three of life's biggest questions:

1) WHO AM I?

2) WHAT DO I BELIEVE IN?

3) WHAT DO I STAND FOR?

Transforward reframes 'dysphoria' as relational trauma to the body. There are many erroneous understandings of trans people as associated with distress. For someone at the intersection of attachment wounding, socio-cultural trauma, and the trans experience, it makes it very difficult to access a life of embodiment and well-being.

Long lasting results of trauma result ot simply from the experience of fear and helplessness but form how our bodies interpret those experiences.
